Lingerie to Flatter your Body Type
Whether you're shopping for an upcoming boudoir session or simply want to feel sexy in some lingerie (to show off to your sweetie or even just to roam around your house sipping wine in (hey, don't judge)), finding lingerie that fits and flatters your body shape is essential to feeling your sexiest.
I've created this guide to help you determine what types of lingerie will look best with your body type! Whether your muscular, long and lean or have curves for days I've got great suggestions for you 🖤
Accentuate those curves with all sorts of lingerie! From garter belts & thigh highs, to bra & panty sets, to corsets that cinch your waist - you really can't go wrong!
If you're opting for a two-piece set, I recommend finding bottoms that hit your natural waistline and plunging bras to get the most out of showing off your cleavage.
Show off those beautiful wide hips! Babydolls and teddies work great with a pear shaped body because they're tight up top and hang loose around your waist. (They're especially great if you're trying to hide a tummy.)
Babydolls with push-up support on top are my favorite for small or large breasts - that extra support makes them look more full and sexy!
Plunging necklines and high-cut legs show off more skin on petite body types. One piece outfits such as lace teddies or even a classic bodysuit will do the trick here!
Two pieces with more supportive side coverage and high-waisted bottoms are my favorite way to show off a 'rounder' body.
Want to draw the focus away from your belly? Babydolls and robes are a great way to cover up.
Outfits with more frills will add a bit more roundness to your body. Straps are great for this too!
Grab a pair of undies with side straps that you can pull up to create the illusion of a higher waist.
If you want to add more oomph to your breasts, opt for a padded or push up bra.
* This guide is merely meant to be suggestions as you shop for lingerie! Many body types look magnificent in multiple styles of lingerie - so don't be afraid to try a variety of outfits on!
If you're shopping for a boudoir session - get creative! Not all of your outfits need to be in lingerie... here are a few more options:
- tee / sweater & cheeky panties
- your favorite jeans & a bralette
- little black dress (or any dress really!)
- jean or leather jacket
- flannel or men's button down dress shirt
