Carrie & Ken's Glamorous Buffalo Backyard Wedding Bash

The theme was simply SPARKLE - proof that Ken must really love his glitter addicted wife :) Everything - from the sequined ceremony backdrop to Ken and Jake the pup's bowties down to the three (3!) dresses Carrie wore throughout the evening - had a touch (...or surplus) of sparkle! I gotta say I loved it!!

Besides all the l the sequins, little personal touches of this couple could be seen everywhere. The party was held in the huge, park-like backyard Ken and Carrie share with Ken's parents who live next door. A big, white tent housed the reception area which was filled with cozy couches, fun throw pillows, sequined tablecloths and tons of glittering candles. The wedding planner/ caterers, Private Knives, spent the evening bringing out plate after plate of equally yummy looking and tasting food - fried ravioli and meatball apps, and a main course of chicken and waffles and gourmet French fries - more than satisfied everyone's taste buds. The ceremony ended with a toast (apres kiss, of course) with signature cocktails designed by their friends from downtown Buffalo's whiskey bar, Marble + Rye.

A first look set in the airy yard kicked off the celebration, followed by family photos, a cocktail hour (yes, pre-ceremony!), some quick I-dos in front of the sequin-adorned barn with Carrie's brother officiating, followed by an evening of eating, drinking, dancing, laughing... you get the gist! You can see just how much their guests were enjoying themselves in these photos - I love all of the candid shots from this wedding. And the icing on the wedding cake - Lloyd's Taco Truck showed up just in time to satisfy everyone's late night munchies!
