So you want those gorgeous getting ready photographs in your wedding gallery, eh?
I don't blame you! Getting ready photos are some of my favorites!
They not only showcase all of your details you worked so hard to put together, but they are a little glimpse into your lives just hours before you officially become the new Mrs. + Mrs., or Mr. + Mr., or Mr. + Mrs 🖤
If you want stunning getting ready images, just follow these 5 simple rules outlined below!
PREPARE YOUR ROOM
pick a location that is spacious, full of light + reflects your aesthetic
1 - Lighting is key! Try to choose a space that has ample natural lighting
2 - Keeping your space as clutter free + clean as you can is so important! It can be a tough task, I know, with so many people getting ready in one spot. You can designate a corner or closet to confine the mess to one area
GET ALL OF YOUR DETAILS IN ONE PLACE
3 - Gather the items below so your photographer can get to them quickly
Veil / hair pieces
Rings (all 3)
Borrowed + blue
4 - 30 mins | details are photographed - make sure to have them in one spot for your photographer
20 - 30 mins | getting into your dress, putting on jewelry, veil, shoes + any finishing touches (if your dress is more complicated with lots of buttons or corset, plan to take a little longer)
30 mins | bridal portraits, photos family and bride tribe
THIS IS ONE DAY YOU REALLY CAN'T OVERPACK
5 - Bring an emergency kit including:
Makeup setting spray
Nail clippers + file
